Our MAT Program
"Medication-assisted treatment combined with psychosocial therapies and community-based recovery supports is the gold standard for treating opioid addiction.”
─ U.S. Surgeon General
Our Philosophy
Pavana Treatment Group provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT) utilizing the FDA-approved medication Suboxone®, along with behavioral services. MAT is the only treatment option shown by research to be effective for opioid use disorder (OUD). Medications used in MAT include buprenorphine, naltrexone, and methadone. Suboxone® combines two drugs: buprenorphine and naloxone (commonly known as Narcan). Buprenorphine, the dominant component, suppresses withdrawal and cravings, while naloxone stops people from abusing the medication. There is no maximum recommended duration of treatment and, for some patients, treatment may continue indefinitely.
scheduling an Appointment
Scheduling an appointment is very simple. Contact us via phone call, text, email, or by clicking "GET HELP NOW" at the top of the page and we will gladly set you up for an appointment within 7 days. We will request your name, date of birth, a bit of history to understand your situation, and your form of payment for the services. We accept Medicaid, Medicare, and self pay via cash, credit, or debit card.
Stages of Treatment
We accept patients as they present to us and treat them with respect, patience, empathy, and understanding. Our MAT program the includes various phases shown below. For some patients, treatment may continue indefinitely, while others can be safely titrated down and off of the medication. We discuss these options with each patient during treatment. Every patient has their own unique treatment path to recovery, and we are there to assist them every step of the way.
Phase 1
During the initial treatment phase, patients visit our clinic weekly and we typically prescribe 7 days of medication at each visit.
Phase 2
At approximately 9-12 weeks of treatment, patients who have been stable and are on the path to recovery, may be seen every two weeks.
Phase 3
Very stable patients shift into a maintenance phase with appointments every 3-4 weeks for as long as neccessary on their treatment path.
